How to Connect TradingView to The5ers MT5 or cTrader (2026)
PineHook can send TradingView alerts to a The5ers MT5 or cTrader account if The5ers confirms the connection is allowed for your account. Non-US clients can choose either platform, while new US accounts use The5ers' TradingView platform. Its EA policy requires traders to own the EA source code, which makes permission for PineHook's MT5 EA uncertain; the policy does not expressly address its cTrader connection either. Ask The5ers for written clearance for the route you intend to use before sending trades.
Check the platform when you buy the account: The5ers makes that choice final and charges an extra $10 for cTrader. This guide uses High Stakes for its risk examples. Other The5ers programs have different limits.
The5ers rules checked against its official pages on September 22, 2026. Confirm the terms for your issued program and account with the firm.
Connect The5ers to PineHook#
Once The5ers clears your connection, create a PineHook account and use the route that matches the platform on your The5ers account.
Connect The5ers MT5#
- Get the MT5 download and account details from The5ers Hub or its welcome email, then sign in to the issued account.
- Create an MT5 license, attach the PineHook EA to a chart, enable algorithmic trading, and enter the license key. Keep MT5 running so the EA can receive orders.
- Add PineHook's webhook URL, the license key, and a command to a TradingView alert.
Connect The5ers cTrader#
- Open cTrader from the launch link The5ers emails after registration and sign in with the registration linked to your account.
- Create a cTrader license, authorize PineHook, and select the issued The5ers account. This route needs no local EA or cTrader password in PineHook.
- Use that license key with PineHook's webhook URL and a command in a TradingView alert.
Check the symbol, size, and first order#
Read the instrument name, minimum volume, contract size, and hours in your issued platform. When the TradingView ticker differs, add a symbol map; lot size conversion handles alerts expressed in units or contracts rather than platform lots. Check the resulting exposure on the account before increasing size.
After the firm confirms your software is permitted, send a small order with a visible stop. High Stakes MT5 uses hedging, so magic= can group a strategy's trades while ticket= identifies one position. The strategy can hold several positions on the same symbol, each with its own stop, take profit, or multi-level TP and SL schedule, and reuse the ticket to change or close only one. The5ers bars bulk trading, so this does not permit opening several trades at once. Check Hedging and netting accounts before using ticket= on another account.

Compare the filled symbol, size, stop, and target in the platform with Signal Logs. The5ers requires stops to be visible, so an invisible stop setting is unsuitable here.
Set the High Stakes loss limits#
The5ers' High Stakes drawdown rule sets a 10% absolute maximum loss from initial balance. Its 5% daily loss uses the higher of balance or equity at the previous day's 00:00 server-time snapshot; touching either floor terminates the account.
In Trading settings, use Static overall drawdown with the issued balance as the baseline. For the daily guard, choose a limit inside the firm's 5% threshold and align PineHook's UTC reset hour with the server-time midnight shown for your account. Do not assume a fixed UTC offset. A buffer matters because fees, spread, and a close that slips beyond the trigger can still push equity below The5ers' floor.
Those figures belong to High Stakes. Set separate limits for other programs from their own rules, and check what PineHook does on a breach: blocking new entries and closing existing positions are different actions.
Apply news and holding rules#
Under the High Stakes news rule, an existing position may remain open, but a new position on an affected instrument cannot open from two minutes before until two minutes after a related high-impact release. Pending entries count; existing stops and take profits may execute. The5ers removes profit from a prohibited entry while leaving any loss.
Set the News Filter for that entry window and check the relevant releases in the News Calendar. The filter holds new PineHook entries, but it cannot withdraw a pending platform order or stop an existing protective exit from filling.
High Stakes permits overnight and weekend holding. The5ers also bars copied third-party alerts, arbitrage, tick scalping, high-frequency trading, and emulators, while its prohibited-practices policy covers bulk trading and excessive requests. A PineHook connection does not waive those rules.
Copy the strategy to other accounts#
The Trade Copier can send one strategy to separate The5ers accounts or accounts at other providers, each with its own license and size multiplier. The5ers allows copying your own trades across your own accounts, but multiple Bootcamp accounts must use distinct strategies. Check software clearance and every destination's copying rules before adding it; account size and drawdown limits should determine each multiplier.
