Each trader who subscribes through your link earns you account credit worth one month of their plan, up to $50, for your first 10 referrals. Bonuses at 5 and 10, and cash commission after that.
Referrals are open during the beta. They count when your friend makes their first payment after the beta ends. Your friend pays for one month and gets the next one free.

The referral is saved as pending. It stays pending, with no time limit, until their first payment.

What you get

Bonus credit
$50 when 5 of your referrals have qualified, and $100 more at 10.
From referral 11: cash commission
20% of each new referral's payments, excluding taxes, for 6 months. Paid monthly through Stripe after a one-time review of your referrals and payout setup.
Stripe can only send cash to certain countries. If you live elsewhere, you keep earning account credit instead, and we keep a record of the cash you would have earned in case we can pay it later.

They use PineHook free during the beta like everyone else. On a monthly plan, after it they pay for their first month and the second one is free: a month of their plan is added as account credit and covers it.
On a yearly plan, a month (1/12 of the year) comes off their first yearly payment instead. Either way, it stacks with the beta discount, and a refunded or disputed first payment takes the free month back.

An illustration, not a promise. It assumes every friend pays monthly and stays for 6 months after the beta, with 20% off their first 3 months, at today's list prices. Credit only pays for PineHook. Cash is 20% of each payment excluding taxes and arrives monthly as the friend pays.
Program rules
- Your friend must sign up through your link or code. A referral cannot be added to an account afterwards.
- You cannot refer yourself, including through a second account, an account you control for someone else, or a payment card you also use. We can cancel or reverse rewards that come from self-referral or other abuse.
- A referral counts after your friend's first payment and a 60-day hold. Until that payment it stays pending, with no time limit.
- Credit comes off your PineHook invoices automatically. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred or withdrawn, and does not expire.
- If a payment that earned you credit is refunded or disputed after the credit was added, the same amount is added back to your next invoice.
- Bonus credit already granted is not taken back when a later referral is reversed, except for abuse.
- When you share your link publicly, say that you get a reward if people sign up through it.
- Before you mention PineHook on a website, forum or community, especially with your referral link, read its rules and follow them. If you break them, for example by posting links where they are not allowed or by spamming, we can cancel the referrals and rewards that came from it, up to removing your ability to refer anyone.
- Cash commission is paid through Stripe, only in the countries Stripe can pay. Elsewhere you keep earning account credit from your 11th referral, and we keep a record of the cash you would have earned. We go by the country you signed up from, or your Stripe payout account's country once you have one.
- We may change or end the program with 30 days' notice by email. Credit already added to your account stays.

Questions
Can I refer people during the beta?
Yes. Share your link now. Nobody pays during the beta, so a friend who joins stays pending until their first payment after the beta ends. There is no time limit on that wait. Your friend pays for one month and gets the next one free, or a month off their first payment on a yearly plan.
When do I get my credit?
60 days after your friend's first payment, if they are still subscribed and that payment has not been refunded or disputed. The credit is then added to your PineHook account and comes off your next invoices automatically.
What if my friend picks a yearly plan?
You get the same credit as for the monthly version of their plan: one month at their discounted monthly price, up to $50.
Can I take the credit as cash?
No. Credit only pays for PineHook. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred and does not expire. From your 11th referral you earn cash commission instead of credit.
Can I get cash commission where I live?
Cash is paid through Stripe, which can only pay referrers in certain countries; Stripe lists them on its cross-border payouts page. If you live elsewhere, you keep earning account credit from your 11th referral instead, and we keep a record of the cash you would have earned in case we can pay it later. We go by the country you signed up from, or your Stripe payout account's country once you have one.
Do I need a paid plan to refer someone?
No. Every PineHook account has a referral link on its Referrals page. Credit you earn waits on your account until you have an invoice to apply it to.
What happens if my friend gets a refund or cancels?
If the refund or dispute happens during the 60-day hold, the referral does not count. If it happens after the credit was added, the same amount is taken back on your next invoice. A friend who cancels during the hold does not count either; one who cancels after it keeps your credit.
