We started as traders who got burned by unreliable services. Now we're building the one we wish had existed.
Why We Built PineHook
We are software engineers who trade, and traders who write code. Not one group hiring the other. The same people, with decades of experience across markets and instruments, and deep background in data security and privacy-preserving systems.
We know what it feels like to wake up and find positions that should have closed overnight still open, or worse, positions that should have reversed but didn't. It happened to us. And when a missed signal turns your projected equity curve into unpredictable slippage, it stops being trading and becomes gambling.
The problem with existing services
We tried other TradingView to MetaTrader 5 (MT5) webhook services. Some had frequent downtime. Others were slow. A few had decent reliability but were missing critical features that left gaping holes in the product. And when things did break, there was little transparency or accountability from the company in charge.
Some seemed to operate on a "move fast, break things" philosophy, pushing updates that would cause signals to stop being picked up or arrive late, leading to out-of-strategy positioning. Features would stop working or behave incorrectly after an update. It felt like changes were going live without proper testing or documentation.
Support was its own problem. Either non-existent, or it felt like a contracted service that didn't know the product well enough to actually help. When you're dealing with live trades and real money, that's not acceptable.
None of them felt like they were built by people who had money on the line, or the engineering background to handle a product that deals with sensitive financial data and real money at stake. So we decided to build the infrastructure we wished existed.
How we operate
We ship a lot of features, but reliability, speed, precision, and security always come first. Every technical decision is filtered through those priorities. Every feature goes through rigorous automated and manual testing before it ships. We don't push code that breaks things. That is not a slogan. It is how we operate.
PineHook Systems Inc. is a Canadian company operating from Quebec. We comply with PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25, and the EU's GDPR. Law 25 in particular is widely considered one of the strictest data security and privacy frameworks globally. We are building this to be the best in the industry, and we are doing it by listening to the people who use it every day. Our Discord community and dashboard feedback tools shape our roadmap directly. When you tell us something is missing or could be better, we go build it. That is the culture we chose, and we plan to keep it.
Engineering Philosophy
Reliability, speed, precision, and security come first. Every technical decision is filtered through those priorities.
Reliability
Redundant infrastructure with automatic failover. No single failure can take the system offline. We don't ship features that compromise stability, and we publish our uptime on our status page.
Speed
WebSocket delivery, not HTTP polling. Average latency of 50–250ms. Speed is engineered into every layer of the system without cutting corners on security.
Precision
No corners cut. The entire system is tested end-to-end before every release, held to a standard on par with the most rigorous SaaS products in any industry. The result: trades execute exactly when and where you expect them.
Security & Privacy
