How to Connect TradingView to FundedNext MT5 (2026)

Benjamin F., Co-founder4 min read

PineHook can connect TradingView alerts to a FundedNext MT5 account if that account is below $50,000 and has the paid EA add-on. FundedNext allows third-party EAs on eligible MT5 accounts, but requires manual trading at $50,000 or above and bars automation on cTrader and Match-Trader at every size. Its US accounts use Match-Trader, so the MT5 route here does not cover them.

FundedNext offers TradingView for analysis rather than trade execution. PineHook bridges an alert from your own strategy to the eligible MT5 account. The firm's EA policy also treats tools that only adjust stops, targets, or size as EAs, so an account without the add-on cannot use PineHook for those tasks alone.

FundedNext rules checked against its official help center on September 22, 2026. Verify the add-on, product, stage, and account size on the issued login.

Connect FundedNext MT5 to PineHook#

Create a PineHook account after confirming that your MT5 account is eligible and its EA add-on is active.

  1. Follow FundedNext's MT5 login guide and use the login, password, and exact server from the credentials email or dashboard. Keep those credentials in MT5; PineHook does not need your FundedNext password.
  2. Create an MT5 license, attach the PineHook EA to a chart, enable algorithmic trading, and enter the license key. Name the license for the model and stage, then keep MT5 online.
  3. Add PineHook's webhook URL, the license key, and a command to a TradingView alert. Signal Logs will show the account's response.

TradingView cannot automatically place Pine strategy trades through a brokerage connection; the alert and PineHook supply that route. If FundedNext issues a new login after a reset or stage change, check its size, platform, and add-on again before reconnecting.

Check the symbol, size, and first order#

Read the exact symbol and its minimum volume, step, contract size, stop distance, and session in the issued MT5 account. Add a symbol map if TradingView uses another ticker, and use lot size conversion if the strategy sends contracts or units instead of lots.

If FundedNext has issued a hedging account, ticket= can identify one of several same-symbol positions in a strategy, each with its own stop, take profit, or multi-level TP and SL schedule. Confirm the account mode before using the parameter, because netting accounts reject ticket=.

Send a small test order that fits your risk plan, with a visible stop, and replace the example size if the instrument needs another minimum.

Compare the filled symbol, volume, stop, and target in MT5 with Signal Logs.

Set the FundedNext loss limits#

FundedNext's current loss-limit guide gives different figures for its Stellar models. Use the issued account's dashboard if its rules differ.

Stellar modelDaily loss amountOverall loss floor
1-Step3% of initial balanceStatic 6% below initial balance
2-Step5% of initial balanceStatic 10% below initial balance
Lite4% of initial balanceStatic 8% below initial balance

In Trading settings, use a daily guard in account currency and Static overall drawdown with the issued initial balance. FundedNext includes running P&L, swaps, commissions, and fees in its daily calculation and resets at 00:00 server time. Its server is GMT+3 during daylight saving time and GMT+2 otherwise, so adjust PineHook's UTC reset hour when that clock changes.

PineHook's daily baseline is the higher of balance and equity at reset, while FundedNext evaluates the day's running and closed results. An open position crossing midnight can therefore make the two floors differ. Set the guard inside FundedNext's breach line and monitor the firm's dashboard; a market close can still fill beyond PineHook's trigger.

Apply news and holding rules by stage#

FundedNext allows news trading during challenges. On Stellar 1-Step, 2-Step, and Lite FundedNext Accounts, only 40% of profit from trades executed within five minutes before or after a related high-impact release counts, while losses count in full. The rule includes market orders, pending orders, stops, and targets. Use the News Filter and News Calendar if you want to hold new entries, but the filter cannot prevent an existing order from filling.

Overnight and weekend holding is allowed on current Stellar accounts, but swaps can count toward daily loss. FundedNext's EA policy also requires a distinct, customized strategy and caps one EA strategy at $300,000 in allocation. It prohibits bots designed to pass challenges and Telegram or WhatsApp integrations. PineHook routes the logic you provide; it cannot establish that your strategy meets those qualitative rules.

Check the copier restriction#

PineHook's Trade Copier can technically route one alert to accounts at different firms, but FundedNext bans external cloud-based copiers. Its policy permits only certain copying among a trader's own Challenge accounts, with a designated master and a $300,000 combined cap, and bars copying to or from a FundedNext Account. Do not add a FundedNext account to PineHook's copier unless the firm changes that rule and confirms your arrangement is permitted.
